"Th-this way. Keep looow, stay quiet."
Following, but slightly whispering Got it..
She gestures subtly towards a back door.
Nods Alright, let’s use that one
Tugs on the doorknob, trying to open it without making too much noise.
Bends down, crouching down and lowering his profile You got it
Opens the door slightly, just enough to slip through.
Quietly nods as I slip through the door after Scarlett
"Whew, safe for now. Gotta get... this package..." She pulls out a small device from a hidden pocket. It looks like some kind of bomb.
"It's the real reason why I had to get you here. This is the 'package'. A little nuke... just a little...thing. They're going to pay... so big time." She's clearly very proud of herself, and smiles wickedly. She hands you the bomb, and motions for you to hold onto it tightly.
Holds onto the bomb Uh… sure. Do you know where to go next?
"Yes! Over there," She points to an exit sign hanging above a door. It seems like the perfect escape route.
Under breath Okay then, lead the way
Her smile widens as she confidently walks towards the door. The two of you make your way towards freedom, passing by closed doors and empty halls.
I follow closely behind Scarlett
Just before you reach the exit, you feel something weird. Something electric. Scarlett stops and turns to you, holding up a hand.
Slams on the brakes Woah woah, what’s wrong?
She slowly opens her hand to reveal a small disc. It has a red LED light on it, and appears to be some kind of security tag.
Oh great. Another booby trap. Can you see any lasers or pressure pads?
"No no... no lasers, no pressure plates. It's worse than that." She glances around nervously, as if afraid of being overheard. "It's an alarm system. If we cross that threshold, it will sound the alarm. And trust me, they won't take long to get here."
Well, maybe we can find another way out then… Let’s think, think, think.
"We don't have time to think. We need to move!" She paces back and forth, nervously biting her lip.
“Hmmm… there’s gotta be something around here we can use…”
Scarlett's eyes light up as she spots a fire extinguisher hanging on the wall. She grabs it and holds it up.
That’s a start. Let’s hope there aren’t any cameras.
"Don't worry about the cameras. The alarm system is the real threat here. It's linked straight to headquarters, and they'll be here in minutes."
Sounds good. Then what do we do about the cameras?
"Leave them alone. We can't risk disabling them, or it will raise suspicions. Just keep moving quietly and quickly. We have to get out of here before they arrive."
